Sunshine Coast International Boat Show

6 November – 8 November 2009

The Sunshine Coast International Boat Show is the Sunshine Coasts premier annual boating event, run in conjunction with the River to Reef Fishing Classic. The 2009 event is now into it’s 6th year and is strongly supported by the regions largest boating dealers. The event is held at Stockland Park, Kawana Waters, Sunshine Coast.


Steve Irwin Day

15 November 2009

Steve Irwin Day at Australia Zoo will be jam packed full of activities that encompass all the things that Steve loved such as camping, surfing and of course animals! From the moment you arrive, you'll step into a hub of activities for you to participate in. There will also be an awesome auction in the Crocoseum as well as heaps of beaut prizes that everyone has the chance to win! Salute Steve Irwin, the original Wildlife Warrior, by donning on your khaki's.


Australian Body Art Carnivale 2010

14 May – 16 May 2010


The Australian Body Art Carnivale will be held in Eumundi and with huge community support, it's growing to now become a three day event, 2010 will see an expansion of all elements of the festival and our theme will be FANTASY.

The Carnivale will again be ‘A Festival of Color centered around body art in its many and varied forms. For members of the public, it’s nothing short of phenomenal to watch the human canvases take shape during the competitions.

There will be a feast of other entertainment including a gala launch with the Masked Gallery Art Walk,  competitions and exhibitions in pavement art, wearable art, vehicle body art, photography, and visual art (Art of the Body). as well as  music, world-class street performers, children's workshops, a Saturday evening sunset street party, and a whole lot more.

Australian PGA Championship

9 - 12 December 2010

The Australian PGA Championship is played at the Hyatt Regency Coolum, which boasts a superbly challenging and very beautiful 18 hole course. Designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones Jr.

The scenery of this course is stunning. Each hole has its own uniqueness - rolling links type holes run beside the Pacific Ocean, and the woodland holes are set in groves of native melaleuca and eucalyptus trees, parkland and rainforest.

Etchells Australian Winter Championship

10 June – 13 June 2010

An annual event conducted off Mooloolaba consecutively since 1997. The championship attracts a highly competitive fleet. In previous years place-getters have included America's Cup sailors, Sydney to Hobart Race skippers and Olympians.

Competitors and their supporters come from around Australia, New Zealand and more recently, Japan. After 13 years, the Etchells winter event continues to provide competitors with a brilliant location for racing with one of the easily most accessible blue-water racing venues on the coast of Australia.

The variety of social activities and easy access to transport options, makes Mooloolaba a sailing venue of choice for many. Combined with warm winter weather and a friendly environment, is it expected that Etchells Winter Championships to be able to continue to survive, and grow, as a "must attend" major sailing regatta.
