conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of ANZAC, with its
human qualities of courage, mateship and sacrifice, continues to have
meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity. Join in
commemorating this significant day with various dawn services available
across the Sunshine Coast.

Australian Body Art Carnivale
11 - 12 May 2013
Australia's premier body art event, the Australian Body Art Carnivale is
free for spectators and attracts great crowds keen to watch artists at
work using human bodies as their canvas. The body art at the event is
amazing and there is so much more to see, such as wearable art (from
recycled items), vehicle art, car bonnet art, photography, street
performers, live music and a Saturday evening celebration. View art at
its best.
Noosa International Food and Wine Festival
16 - 19 May 2013
The Noosa International Food and Wine Festival hosts over 200 of the world's most prominent chefs, winemakers, food personalities, media and foodies over a four day program. Festival-goers can interact with ten of the top 50 S.Pellegrino World's Best Restaurant chefs along with international and national stars of the culinary, wine and media world.
This year the festival will unveil a stellar line-up for its 10th birthday celebration with some spectacular surprises and culinary creativity set amongst the regions most magical and iconic settings.
Australia Outrigger Canoe - National OC6 Marathon Titles

Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club are pleased to invite you to the 2013 OC6 National Marathon Titles. For the fifth year, they will be welcoming all paddlers and their families to the spectacular Sunshine Coast. Launching from Mooloolaba Spit, they are looking forward to a fantastic weekend of challenging outrigger racing. This year there are more divisions, with more medals to be won.

Fun Day Car Rally is a great way for families and friends to get
together and help raise money to go towards the Australia Zoo Wildlife
Hospital. With great challenges prepared - a bit like the Amazing Race
format - the program will have you solving clues and puzzles to get you
from one location to another, all over the Sunshine Coast. Take part in
this worthy cause and be in the running to win a great prize from one of
the local sponsors!
Floating Land
31 May - 9 June 2013
Floating Land is a 10-day art event held at Boreen Point, in the UNESCO-listed biosphere of Noosa. The Green Art program includes presentations, installations, workshops and performances, all based on the theme of 'Nature's Dialogue'. Floating Land is one of Australia's leading Green Art events and offers days of concentrated cultural and environmental activity. The landscape, the calibre of artist, and the community enthusiasm make it an event that is rarely experienced. The ability to sit and work with artists, as well as watch them work over the 10 days on their pieces, engages an audience that do discuss and learn about their environment and the creative work they are doing.
Maleny Agricultural Show
31 May - 1 June 2013
This will be the 76th Maleny Agricultural Show, as a usual, will be
bigger, brighter and better than the previous year! Back again this
year, the event will be showcasing the 'Battle of the Bands'
competition. With a score of activities and entertainment to ensure the
whole family has fun, the show will include many of the annual
favourites such as woodchopping, horesmanship displays, various
exhibitions and stalls, and amazing fireworks.

Etchells Australasian Winter Championships
6 - 9 June 2013
The annual Etchells Australasian Winter Championships attracts the best
one-design sailors in Australasia to Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast
for four days of intense sailing competition. It is one of the most
competitive classes to race, with Olympians, World Champions and
America's Cup sailors competing. It's all about the people, the place,
and the competition where sailors have easy access to the open water
right from Mooloolaba Beach.
Sail Mooloolaba
22 - 30 June 2013
Sail Mooloolaba is truly a celebration of sailing, from little
dinghies through to big keel boats and everything in between. Racing is
on the open water right in front of Mooloolaba Beach and on the
Mooloolah River in the centre of town. The racing can easily be viewed
from vantage points along Mooloolaba Beach, from the balconies of the
modern resorts in the area, and from The Wharf on Mooloolah River.

IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast

The IRONMAN 70.3 series is the fastest growing triathlong series
in the world, with the inaugural Sunshine Coast event joining 59 events
held in 24 countries. The ultimate test of an athlete's endurance,
power, skill and speed - Mooloolaba will offer an idyllic course for
participants who will swim 1.9km, cycle 90km, and run 21.1km on a course
with stunning beach and ocean views.

Caloundra Music Festival
4 - 7 October 2013
One of Queensland's top
music festivals, and quickly developing a national reputation, is the
annual Caloundra Music Festival - a not for profit family-friendly
community event celebrating the environment, cultural achievements and
community pride of the Caloundra area. The beautiful Kings Beach will
come alive to the diverse sounds of the high quality Australian and
international artists. Roving performers, beachside carnival, buskers
and free children's entertainment add to the experience.
